FASTeTEN: last call for mid-term workshopThe FASTeTEN project is the current ’Editor’s choice’ on the ePractice.eu portal. The FASTeTEN mid-term workshop takes place in Paris on Wednesday. It is now the last chance to register for this free workshop, which will outline the progress made by FASTeTEN and provide excellent networking opportunities. MORE INFORMATION - FINAL COUNTDOWN AHEAD OF FASTeTEN SECURE INFRASTRUCTURE WORKSHOP The FASTeTEN project, in which e-Forum is a partner, will hold a secure infrastructure workshop in Paris on 15 October. The workshop takes place on the afternoon before the start of the World e-Democracy Forum, a major European eGovernment event, which is being staged in the same location as the FASTeTEN seminar. Delegates at the FASTeTEN workshop can therefore benefit from attending both events. FOR THE WORKSHOP AGENDA, visit the FASTeTEN website. FOR REGISTRATION (free of charge): either register at the ePractice.eu website (this requires membership of ePractice) or contact Baudouin de Sonis of e-Forum directly. ABOUT FASTeTEN FASTeTEN is an eTEN-supported project to pilot the French-developed FAST bundle of services for secure document exchange in different European contexts. FAST stands for Fournisseur d’Accès Sécurisés Transactionnels , or Fully Automated Secured Transactions. FAST has been successfully tested in France, but has the potential to offer considerable benefits to other European public administrations. FASTeTEN is conducting pilot European deployments of FAST in educational services in Sheffield, UK, and in eProcurement in Valencia, Spain. The FASTeTEN workshop on October 15 will give a technical overview of FAST, will examine the pilot deployments in detail, and will be an opportunity for other public bodies to learn about this recognised good practice case. ON THE AGENDA: the FAST bundle of services, issues relating to secure document exchange for administrations, pilot deployments in eProcurement and educational services in Spain and the UK, transferring good practice across borders. NETWORKING COCKTAIL The event will be followed by a networking cocktail — the ideal informal forum for meeting new contacts and discussing new ideas. LOCATION PACI, Palais des Arts et des Congrès, 25 avenue Victor Cresson, 92130 Issy-les-Moulineaux, Paris, France. You can find location information and directions at the ePractice.eu website. To learn more about FASTeTEN, visit the project’s website. For any further information, contact e-Forum director Baudouin de Sonis. |
