FASTeTEN to be presented at GOV IT 2008 Summit

e-Forum chief executive Baudouin de Sonis will present the FASTeTEN secure infrastructure project at the GOV IT 2008 Summit, which takes place in Brussels, Belgium, on 9-10 June 2008.

The event plans to address the transformation of government services through comprehensive and effective methods of relaying information and providing services. FASTeTEN, in which e-Forum is a communication partner, provides administrations with a bundle of services for secure, traceable electronic document exchange.

The bundle of services, FAST - Fournisseur d’Accès Sécurisés Transactionnels (Secure Access Gateway) - has been successfully developed and piloted in France. The aim of FASTeTEN is it demonstrate FAST in different eGovernment contexts in Spain and the United Kingdom. A group of potential future deployers will monitor the demonstration deployments with a view to further implementations of FAST across Europe.

Baudouin de Sonis will detail the progress of the project at the GOV IT 2008 Summit. e-Forum members who are public sector officials involved in eGovernment, eProcurement and government IT, can furthermore benefit from one of 20 free passes giving entry to the Summit. As well as free entry to the event, the offer includes one night’s accommodation at the Renaissance Brussels hotel, which is also the venue for the event.
