The FASTeTEN project took part in an ’eServices 4 Europe Networking Session’ in Lyon, France, on 27 November 2008, as part of the European Commission’s ICT 2008 event. The aim of the session was to bring together a preselected group of eTEN projects, including FASTeTEN, and other interested stakeholders seeking possibilities for cooperation or business opportunities.

FASTeTEN was presented by Baudouin de Sonis, director of e-Forum, which is a partner in the FASTeTEN project. FASTeTEN and the FAST bundle of services was also discussed with representatives of the Czech Republic Ministry of the Interior, and the Slovak Ministry of Finance. These organisations provide the national contact points in those countries for the ICT Policy Support Programme, which is part of the European Commission’s Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP). This support programme aims to stimulate innovation and competitiveness in the European Union through the wider uptake and best use of ICT by citizens, governments and businesses.
