The FASTeTEN project was put through a formal review by the European Commission and by independent reviewers July 9. The review noted that the project is on track and is working in accordance with project schedules and plans. FASTeTEN is preparing for full implementation of the pilot projects, based on the FAST bundle of secure services, that are taking place in Sheffield (UK) and Valencia (Spain). During the second part of 2009, FASTeTEN will finalise and publish the business plans that will ensure that the lessons of the project, on implementation of systems such as FAST in a pan-European context, are carried forward after the project itself has closed.
